My Khe Beach
The main and most popular beach is the most beautiful and cleanest. At the end of the beach are also beautiful structures such as the Linh Ung Pagoda and the Monkey Mountain. Without them, the beach is already splendid on its own and it is surrounded by restaurants offering fresh seafood and cold beers. Water sports such as parasailing and jet-skiing are also available.

This used to be the former worship grounds for the kingdom and is a famous tourist destination in the country.

Linh Ung Pagoda
Another sight at the far end of the beach is a stunning 67-metre tall Lady Buddha looking out over Da Nang Bay. Lady Buddha provides protection to fishermen and grants them safety. The pagoda itself is also magnificent, being the largest in Da Nang.
Lady Buddha Da Nang is the tallest Buddha statue in Vietnam equivalent to the height of a 30-story building. Lady Buddha can be found in the courtyard at the Linh Ung Pagoda. She can also be spotted from anywhere in Da Nang City, looking out over the East Vietnam Sea . . . . . . . . #travel #adventurethatislife #adventurevisuals #alwaysgo #exploretocreate #lifeofadventure #keepexploring #liveauthentic #neverstopexploring #stayandwander #visualwanderlust #wanderfolk #welivetoexplore #linhungpagoda #travelbuddies #travellife #travelogue #travelphotography #travelpic #armstrongsabroad #travelcouple #wanderlust #lonelyplanet #travelvlog #ladybuddha

Mỹ Sơn Sanctuary
Mỹ Sơn Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage site, hosts the abandoned ruins of Vietnam’s ancient Champa civilization that once occupied southern Vietnam. It has intricate carvings of various Hindu gods that may require a tour guide for you to decipher. Most of it was destroyed in a carpet-bombing campaign by the Americans during the war and there are large bomb craters still visible!

The Marble Mountains
The Marble Mountains are made of five mountains named after the earth’s elements: Kim (metal), Thuy (water), Moc (wood), Hoa (fire) and Tho (earth). Tourists can access Thuy, which contains caves and passageways awaiting adventurers’ conquests. Trekkers will be delighted to find several stunning pagodas and temples nestled in different areas of the mountain. Maps are available for purchase, so it might be wise to grab one so as not to miss out on hidden ‘treasures’.

Sơn Trà Mountain
Go to the end of My Khe beach and you will spot a monkey the size of a mountain. Gotcha? Nah, it’s just nicknamed Monkey Mountain after the rare species of monkeys that dwell inside the dense forests. So you might spot monkeys after all. Interesting fact: Sơn Trà Mountain was a former U.S. Army base for radar and communications, with some of the radar domes still visible today. If you are up for it, rent a scooter or hire a local to manoeuvre the steep, winding road up to the peak for an unmissable view of the coastline and city.
