No one can say they’ve tasted Bali until they have tried Naughty Nuri’s. Known for its delicious pork ribs, you can get down and dirty with your fingers when at their casual restaurants. Babi Guling Ibu Oka
Named after one of the most famous foods of Bali, the suckling pig they serve must be one of the best, and it is. Babi guling is an entire pig stuffed with a combination of typical spices used in Indonesian cooking including turmeric, coriander seeds, lemon grass and more. This dish is unique to the island as the country is predominately Muslim. One of their most popular dishes would be the Spesial, which comes with the babi guling skin, pork roll, fried meat, sausage, vegetables and rice. This restaurant is located in Ubud but raved reviews have brought Kuta and Seminyak residers on a 1.5 hour journey to find out why this piglet has made the news.

This one is also named after a famous dish on the island. This one however, unabashedly calls itself a ‘dirty duck diner’, which apparently got its name from their first guests on the restaurant compound even before it was opened – a few webbed-feet poultry. The tender, succulent and crackly-crisp skin got this restaurant’s signature on many lists of top eateries in Bali. Currently just situated in Ubud and Nusa Dua, another outlet is slated to open in Jimbaran within the next month.
