Bangkok is a shopping haven for all. When the sun goes to sleep, night markets come alive. This is where you can get the best deals when shopping in Bangkok.
The haggler in you can come alive even after dusk. The night markets are aplenty, so make sure you have energy for all of them.
Jatujak Green Night Market(JJ Green)
As the night falls, it’s time to skip over from Chatuchak to JJ Green Market. With a retro theme, this was formerly known as Siam Gypsy market and has been selling street food and vintage merchandise. Apart from collectibles, you can also find trendy clothes and cool sunnies.

This market has recently made its way overseas due to its popularity. The container-style street market sells independent clothing and quirky accessories. If you are into instagrammable food such as rainbow-coloured shakes, you can also find them here. They have live music and jam sessions to welcome budding musicians and they are only open on selected weekends of the month.
Missed the one in sg and we were lucky that our travel dates coincide with the Artbox Bangkok this August. But it's actually a little boring 😂

Talad Rot Fai Market Srinakarin
This one is the original Talad Rot Fai but its location proved to be too far out, so they decided to open one that was more accessible. Nevertheless, having more area gives this market more freedom to express itself. You can spot vintage vehicles and shops pouring out from a huge warehouse onto the outdoor space. There are corners where you can have a drink in a mini bar or just sit under the stars for street food. Scour the retail sections and you might pick up a rad t-shirt from an 80s rock band.

Talad Rot Fai 2 Market Ratchada
The Ratchada branch is just minutes away from National Cultural Center MRT Station. There are also many vintage-themed merchandise there, together with trendy apparel and collectables. There’s a food street with bars and you can head up on a container to grab a beer and some bites. There is also a barber shop for a quick haircut, if you can’t find anything else to do (which is not quite possible).
Address: Ratcadaphisek Road (close to Esplanade Shopping Mall)
Opening Hours: 5:00pm to 1:00am daily
Muslims will feel at home with the offerings of halal food at this market. It is also as hip and trendy as the other night market counterparts. It has a cleaned-up and young feel, and lots of Instagrammable corners. Rows of shops are arranged orderly under tents and you can do your shopping in a straight-forward fashion. There are corners to spot live bands and you can enjoy the music over a drink or two.

Ramkhamhaeng University Night Market
Also known as the 100-Baht market, it appeals to students, as the name explicitly shows. Located beside Ramkhamhaeng University, locals flock over for good deals and cheap food, with a student’s pocket in mind. It may not be very accessible, but muslims will also find comfort in the halal options here.
My friend brought me to this local night market which is just situated in Bangkok city, it is small as compared to other more well known night markets but it is also loaded with many kinds of products and street food. Just like what they said, when in Rome, do as the Romans do, we got some snacks and sat at the grass patch beside the night market, some other visitors even laid on it and gaze at the stars! ✨ 😃🙏🇹🇭 #thailand #bangkok #th #instagram #instathailand #instabangkok #instath #ig_bangkok #ig_thailand #bkk #beautifulbangkok #visitbangkok #visitthailand #explorebangkok #explorethailand #travelthailand #travellersnotebook #traveldiary #traveller #igerTH #thailandgram #nightmarket #ramkhamhaeng #bangkokspirit #loves_united_thailand #beautiful_bangkok
