From temples to nature, let us take you through a Bali Instagram tour of the most famous Bali places of interest that every tourist in Bali has to visit.
Dear Culture Vulture, if you didn't get a shot of the following places, were you even in Bali?
1. The Bali Swing
They have 12 swings, so there’s surely one for you. Getting a picture on a swing is one of the reasons people flock over to Ubud. Swing away while you enjoy the picturesque landscape of the canyon and the waterfall as there is no time limit.
Address: Jl. Dewi Saraswati, Desa Bongkasa Pertiwi, Ubud 80352, Indonesia
2. Gili Trawangan Swings
Another swing? What’s with Bali and swings? We don’t know, but we love it. This one is another epic experience you’ll never get elsewhere – swinging above the ocean. Best photo moments would be during sunset. Swing over and make your followers jealous!
Address: Hotel Ombak Sunset, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia
3. Pura Lempuyang Luhur
Locally referred to as Pura Lempuyang Luhur, this is one of Bali’s oldest temples. The main temple lies at 1,175m above sea level, on the peak of Mount Lempuyang. Instagrammers have been able to capture fascinating pictures of the two iconic pillars. Go, get a shot and beat theirs!
Address: Banjar Purwa Ayu, Desa Tribuana, Abang Subdistrict, Karangasem
4. Sekumpul Waterfall / Tegenungan Waterfall
Touted as the most beautiful waterfall in Bali, the path to this beauty of nature is a road less travelled because it takes effort and struggle to get a shot upclose. After walking a long distance from the car park, you will have to descend hundreds of stairs and cross the river. The lure is, however, incredible enough for adventurers to grab a shot!

5. Tegallalang Rice Terrace
This is one famous tourist destination that is worth beholding every time you are in Ubud. The terraces spread down and away to the rice paddies on the slopes across the valley. This breathtaking site is a perfect photo opportunity!
Address: Jalan Tegallalang, Tegallalang, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali 80561, Indonesia
6. Tanah Lot
This is no ordinary temple. It is perched on top of a huge rock and surrounded by the sea with waves. One of the most important sea temples, this is another great shot to capture against a picturesque sunset.
Address: Beraban, Kediri, Tabanan Regency, Bali 8217, Indonesia
7. Goa Gajah
Standing outside what looks like gargoyles out of a rock can only mean that you are outside the elephant cave in Bali. This is great for those who have a slightly sinister eye to their photos.
Address: Bedulu Village, Jalan Raya Goa Gajah, Blahbatuh, Gianyar
8. Any Beach in Bali
If you don’t have a single picture of a beach, then are you really in Bali? Any of the island’s beaches can make a stunning photo. With heaven and earth mirroring each other on the horizon, you have no excuse, even if you call yourself a bad photographer.
