New mama in the Ubud hood, Ibu Susu has already garnered rave reviews. Translated as “Mother’s Milk”, this restaurant's menu pays homage to its Balinese roots along with a generous touch of what we call “Modern Melbourne”. Their all-day brunches and pan-asian cuisine as well as their innovative cocktails - How does a salted caramel espresso martini and pomelo smoke negroni sound? - are clearly designed to make you say “come to mama”.

4. Warung Sanur Segar
Get ready to Sombrero & Surf, as this place serves up Mexican food with an Indonesian twist. This place is for daylight sojourners only, as they close at 7pm. An intimately-spaced restaurant in Sanur, their menu may be limited, but their use of local ingredients in their delightful interpretation of Mexican delights packs a punch and gives you loads to taco about. Don’t forget to try their Taco Rendang and quesadillas when you are there. We playfully suggested they call themselves Burri-Indo. You heard it here first!
Food in Bali that we loved: tortilla / wraps in Warung Sanur Segar. Their unique chicken / beef wrap that comes with fresh veggies was not only delicious but also very affordable ♥
