Hua Hin is the perfect weekend getaway for those looking for peace and tranquility. Plan your weekend getaway with these 9 things to do in Hua Hin Thailand!

Shy away from the city bustle to an au naturel Hua Hin - visit caves and take a dip in a waterfall and breathe the nature you've been lacking.

Hua Hin has a relaxed vibe you will not find in Bangkok. If you need some tranquility, just for a day, head over to this seaside resort city. Besides the view of the ocean, there are many highlights inland that you can fill your day up with.

WHAT TO SEE

Again, just like deceiving people that you are in Italy when in actual fact you are in Khao Yai, you can lie that you are in Greece while in Hua Hin. The Greek-inspired whitewashed buildings and blue doors and windows will simulate a Santorini experience. But here it’s even better – the Santorini Park Cha-Am is an amusement park with a 40-metre-high Ferris wheel, a G-MAX reverse bungee and an interactive ride. You can choose to spend your entire day at the park, but we say, don’t miss the other highlights, such as the iconic Hua Hin Railway Station. What’s the big deal now? It is Thailand’s most beautiful train station and the locals are super proud of it. The resplendent architecture stands out in contrast to the modern hotels and malls in the backdrop. Satisfy your hunger and itch for shopping at the Plern Wan Shopping Village. It’s an open-air mall that transports you to the 1950s. The period-themed shops will sell you everything from toys to snacks and there is also an outdoor cinema area. Hawker carts are in abundance here and you can try some hard-to-find Thai bites along with your typical ones. Head over to Hua Hin Beach to catch the sunset and have your dinner there if you’d like. However, if you are there on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, we recommend saving your tummies for the Cicada Market when you are heading back to Bangkok as it lies between Khao Yai and Khao Takiab. Known as Hua Hin’s art market, there are outdoor and indoor spaces that house clothes, ornaments, paintings and sculptures. A lively place to eat and enjoy the atmosphere before heading back to town!
