Overview

One of the most iconic things about Japan is its sumo wrestlers, and what better way to immerse yourself in this rich culture that is sumo wrestling than visiting the Ryogoku Kokugikan - Sumo Hall. Otherwise known as the Sumo Museum this is the place to be for sumo fans to geek out or if you aren't a sumo fan to learn more about this world renowned sport. While the museum is open all year round, we recommend going in September where you can experience the spectacle that is the Grand Sumo Tournament.
