Overview

Sir Stamford Raffles sparked the idea for a national garden in 1822, and since then, the Singapore Botanic Gardens has earned the title of being Singapore's first UNESCO Heritage Site. Now at 82-hectares, the Garden consists of 4 core areas namely, Tanglin which is the represents heritage; Central the touristy side of the Garden; Bukit Timah; the educational and discovery zone; and Tyersall-Gallop where the Learning Forest is located.
